Newport Wedge Girls Lacrosse Winter 2011-2012 Season with Registration is now open to 2nd through 8th graders

The Winter Season Registration is open for girls from 2nd to 8th grade who will play on either the U11, U13 or U15 teams. 

Winter season will run from November 8th through the first week of March 2012 with games on Saturday and Sundays starting Dec. 10th/11th – locations and times to be determined by the OC Lacrosse league and posted on their website first week of December.   Games will be in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, RSM and La Paz.  

Practices will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 5:30pm @ Bonita Sports Park

The costs for the Winter Season are as follows:

$350 for 2nd through 8th grade girl’s players

(US Lacrosse $25 annual fee is extra and paid directly by you)

All players need a US Lacrosse number in order to practice and play in the league games.   The OCLA will be verifying all players listed on the rosters so please make sure to complete this process.   If you need to obtain a US Lacrosse number or your child's membership expires before March 1, 2012, please renew it at

Your team fee goes toward funding league team fees, new uniforms, game officials, insurance, team equipment, field utilization, player’s awards and miscellaneous administrative and coaching costs.

There will be a deduction from your registration fee if you refer a player that signs up with your daughter’s registration for the winter season. 

Online registration and in person registration will be activated on Tuesday November 8th

Registration will close November 15th – we will not allow new players after November 30th

U15, U13, U11 will be 11v11 players plus a goalie and follow OCLA & US Lacrosse rules

New players will develop with High School coaches – returning players will be placed on team with college coaches that will start scrimmages as early as Thanksgiving week.

We facilitate the development of strength and character in every child that participates. Participation in our league is open to all girls in 2nd through 8th grade in the greater Newport Mesa area.

We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our league is a positive influence in the lives of our children. We also strive to provide a service to our community by providing a healthy outlet for children, opportunities for the community to gather together, and endless hours of entertainment.
